We were standing in the ruins of the ancient amphitheater, and it immediately became clear to us that the Colosseum must have been a modern shopping center with underground garages for bikes and cars! From the photos, it was evident that archaeologists had uncovered underground garages in the center. The arches must have been ramps, allowing cars to access the underground garages! In the display cases, there are helmets. According to the descriptions, these are gladiator helmets, so it’s clear that gladiators rode motorcycles to work. They left their helmets in lockers, where archaeologists found them! Based on what we saw, it must have been a massive shopping mall. There are shops visible on the photographs around the perimeter! Today, only a souvenir shop remains, but I’m sure there used to be a Billa and a DM here!
