In June 2000, we attended the VW meeting in the Austrian town of Klosterneuburg near Vienna. We noticed a radically modified VW Buggy in a color with the artistic name Metalflake-Glowble-Hologram and with the license plate GREAT1. The Buggy was equipped with Pirelli tires sized 345/35 – 15 in the front and 570/40 – 15 in the rear. We found out that the rims were custom-made by the company Real Racing USA, and the engine had a power output of over 200 horsepower.
Around the year 2014, the car reappeared in an orange color. It even made it onto the pages of the German magazine VW Speed.
