From tread to treat.
In the early 20th century, brothers Édouard and André Michelin had a simple dream – get people driving more and wearing out tires faster.
So in 1900, they created a guide for motorists: where to refuel, where to repair… and where to eat well.
They connected the steering wheel to the stomach. And the world started spinning.
What began as a practical booklet became the legendary Michelin Guide.
People traveled for flavors, engines led the way to delicacies.
Food was no longer just a need – it became a destination.
Without cars, we might still be eating cold gas station hot dogs and calling it lunch.
It brings me to a thought – if it weren’t for cars, maybe we’d have never truly dined well.
