Rome has been transformed into the realm of the Smarts! Forget the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain, the new symbol of the Eternal City is Smart cars. These mini wonders of technology have taken over the streets of Rome and have become an integral part of its atmosphere. We couldn’t help feeling during our visit that they must have a nest somewhere. But on every other street, the same cute picture awaited us – endless rows of Smarts.
Of course, when we visited Rome, we did not miss the Vatican City, where we monitored the number plate system on vehicles. Since the Pope has a SCV1 plate, we were interested in the whole system.
